Fall has come upon us once again. As the harvest season draws nearer, leaves turn from green to auburn, and days become shorter, we at the Bio Integrative Health Center are also undergoing changes of our own.

Starting with the addition of new members to the BIHCI family. We are pleased to welcome Mrs. Jennifer Boscovich, RN, and Ms. Luzviminda Hermasura, MA, to provide support in the IV Therapy Room. Additionally, we are happy to welcome Ms. Rosa Martinez to support the office in administration.

In addition to the staff additions, we are working hard to improve the patient experience. We are beginning with improving the reception area to serve our growing client community. Also, we are integrating ‘The Bio Edge Athletic Drip Room’, a vitamin and hydration that is focused on supporting athletes and helping them optimize their performance. Look for more information on Bio Edge in our future newsletters. This are just the first few steps, new energy and vitality surround our clinic every day, look for more exciting changes to come.

On the wellness front, I know that along with the changes of Fall also comes the flu and cold season. Thus, I wanted to impart some simple tips to survive this year’s flu and cold season.

  • Stay Hydrated: drinking at least eight 8 ounces of water each day will help flush out toxins, viruses, and bacteria
  • Get plenty of rest and reduce stress: getting at least 7-8 hours of sleep and doing activities to reduce stress (i.e. yoga, meditation, prayer, dedicating a day to unplug from your phone/computer/tables) can help strengthen your immune system.
  • Wash your hands regularly: Be sure to wash your hands for at least 30 seconds under running water while rubbing them together vigorously (try singing the alphabet song two times as a way to time yourself). According to the World Health Organization, hand washing is still the best and simplest way that saves lives from communicable illnesses worldwide.

Thank you for being part of the Bio Integrative Health community. I am very grateful and honored that you have entrusted us to care for you and your family. If you have any questions, concerns, or have healthcare needs; myself and my team at Bio Integrative Health Center are here to serve and support you in any way we can.

Wishing you all a wonderful Fall season filled with great health, laughter, and joy.

Sincerely,

Dr. Corazon I. Ibarra
