2020 has been one heck of a year for all of us. As we say goodbye to summer and our schedules start to pick up it’s a great time to start focusing on our immunity.
When trying to stay one step ahead of cold and flu season I wanted to share a few reminders on how to keep our immune system in tip-top shape.
  1. Probably the most important thing you can do would be to get enough sleep. Since sleep and immunity are so closely linked, making sure you are getting plenty of rest can prevent illness this season.
  2. Another thing to consider when supporting your immune system is what you are eating every day. Our nutrition plays a huge role in how well our immune system is functioning. Eating more plants, healthy fats, fermented foods, and drinking loads of water while limiting sugar intake can make a profound difference in fighting off illness.
  3. Don’t forget how much stress can impact our health. Making stress management a priority this season will be highly beneficial and your body will thank you for it.
  4. Moderate exercise, having a meditation practice, journaling, yoga, and other mindfulness practices are all proven methods to keep stress levels manageable.
  5. Last but not least supplement wisely. Vitamin C, D, and zinc are some of our favorites to be included in your daily routine.

Staying healthy has been at the forefront of everyone’s mind and it’s important to remember that with a few lifestyles and dietary changes you can strengthen your immune system and improve your health.
